Overview
The Cadastry data schema is designed to provide a structured way of digitally representing both real and digital objects. It is based on the CIDOC-CRM and Dublin Core standards, but has been modified to meet the needs of the blockchain space, where web3 assets require a consistent way of representing metadata in order to be compatible across different chains.
The core of the Cadastry schema consists of four types of records: Actors, Objects, Places, and Events. In addition to these, the schema includes additional relationships that are necessary to understand the complex connections between records and various mechanisms that promote trust, transparency, and interoperability of data.
The Cadastry schema includes the following components:
- Records: Actors, Objects, Places, and Events
- Resources: Descriptors for binary files
- Permissions: Definitions of permissible operations on records
- Identifiers: Links to assets in external databases or blockchains
- Evaluations: Structures that handle the certification and verification of data.
- Signatures: Digital signatures
