Digital or virtual artwork refers to creative visual content that is created, stored, and displayed electronically. Unlike traditional artwork created using physical materials such as paint or sculpture, digital artwork is inherently intangible, and its distribution and consumption often occur through digital platforms and devices like computers, tablets, smartphones, and digital art galleries. Digital artwork can be created using a wide range of software applications, including illustration programs, photo-editing software, 3D modeling and rendering tools, and various other specialized creative tools.
